Genetic Disorders are Rooted in Ancestral Trauma

When we consider inherited disorders, often this concept is a source of disempowerment. We find ourselves thinking I didn’t cause the problem, and I have no real solutions other than to manage my fate.

But I’m here to tell you many genetic disorders can be reversed. How is this possible? You might ask. Within the field of epigenetics, scientists study how the environment influences our gene expression. It reminds us that our environment plays a critical role in what information stored within our genes is expressed.

When we inherit a genetic disorder, we are inheriting a negative environmental influence or experience that our ancestor had and how they responded. This information is stored in the DNA which is passed down to us.

There’s two methods we can use to rewire our DNA expression. We can select plants, either dried herbs or essential oils, that target the disorder we’ve inherited. And then we can enter into a state of hypnosis where we can remember, see, and feel the event that our ancestor experienced. By allowing this trauma to be seen and felt, we can consciously release the energy and any stuck emotions associated with that experience.

Once the energy that us disconnecting us from optimal health is released, we can reconnect with our divine intelligence and rewrite the DNA for optimal function.

Marigolds ready to dry

During an energy reading with marigolds, I found this dried flower helped heal the eyesight of the woman I was observing. I was shown the regions of the body that lacked oxygenation of tissues and circulation, and how that had a negative impact on nutrition to the eyes. I asked to be shown the origin of the pattern. I was shown a woman seeing the hard to process aspect of war and genocide. Her eyes were exposed to death and destruction on a deep level, so much so that she developed a resistance to seeing clearly.

As I talked with this woman who I knew had not experienced those atrocities in this life, I discovered that her grandmother had lived through those times. This grandmother had developed glaucoma in her later years, and this condition was passed down to the woman I observed.

The marigolds help bring those memories and energetic imprints to the surface to be released. After using marigolds as medicine, these pathways that were once weakened will strengthen and the condition has the possibility of healing.

This woman is being called to heal her ancestral trauma with the support of marigolds. The flower will support her in clear vision and seeing the beauty life has to offer.

If you have a known inherited disorder or ancestral history of great trauma, I encourage you to dive deep, feel and release the trauma, break the ancestral karma, and create a better future for your descendants. It’s time to reconnect with your divine and vibrant nature.

The Art of Retracing

One of the most beautiful and difficult aspects of a deep healing journey that focuses on detox and nutritional balancing is the phenomena called retracing. This is when we begin to experience strong emotions and physical sensations that make us wonder “Am I healing? Or am I getting sick? Am I getting worse or amidst a breakthrough?” Very often when the symptoms start, it is impossible to know whether or not you are getting worse or retracing. Only in hindsight can we see what has happened. For this reason, retracing can be very scary and worrisome. How one handles these situations will determine their overall success with a lifestyle healing program.

Deep healing is not linear. The body will heal what it can when it can. It wants you to succeed and has an innate intelligent order of operations. The unpredictability and timing can be frustrating, but one must submit to the process and adapt accordingly. Every opportunity is an opportunity for growth. I want to share with you a recent story of retracing to show you what it can look like.

One month ago, I had my heaviest period this decade. After switching to a plant based diet, my periods are moderate to light with one day of heavy flow and total length of 2-3 days. I look forward to my period as a time of reflection, renewal, and cleansing. This period was different. I bled 3 times as much as I normally do. It hit me hard as I am also breastfeeding. The total amount of fluid loss left me feeling weak, anemic, and breathless regardless of what I ate or drank. I was not worried. I knew it would take time to rebuild my blood supply.

During my period, I had dreams and visions of my most traumatic experiences as a child. These particular experiences are ones I wanted to heal and move on for years, but never felt like I knew how to do so. I repressed many of the memories. I have separated myself from those who caused the abuse and trauma, but its not a topic I like to think about or discuss. It became part of my past that started to haunt me, and I didn’t like how it was affecting my present.

IMG_4672

Whenever I feel strong emotions and memories of my past that need to be seen and processed, I go to meditation, often meditation with the use of essential oils in an Epsom salt bath to help release the emotions and cleanse them away. This month I began using orange essential oil in my spiced cider recipe. For three days following ingesting orange essential oil for the first time, I flashed back to every emotional significant experience where I was extremely scared. I flashed back in chronological order starting as an infant, through adolescence, and into adulthood.

I noticed a theme. I was scared and powerless in every flashback. This is how I knew that the retracing was triggered by the orange essential oil and facilitated by intense cleansing in the form of my period. You see, orange is the color of our third chakra that is our power center. In order for me to fully step into my power, I need to face and release every significant moment where I was powerless. The memory will remain, but the stored emotion must be released.

I was so excited when I realized why I was feeling the emotion so intensely, because I knew my body was shifting into its power. However, the symptoms continued and got worse to the point where I became concerned. Am I getting worse due to stress and lack of sleep? I developed mastitis, and it lasted longer than I expected. My breast swelled, my arm hurt, and my lymph became backed up. I used my normal approaches for this situation, such as rest, Epsom salt baths, and cinnamon essential oil. This usually clears up a clogged duct within 24 hours for me. But this time was more complicated.

I store my energy for nurturing others in my left breast. Many of my powerless traumas involved an expectation of over nurturing others in an imbalanced or inappropriate manner. I could feel the heartache these experiences caused. In meditation, the mantra “My heart is in pain.” appeared over and over again. I felt like maybe the constant interrupted sleep of nursing a newborn multiple times a night had taken its toll and that only sleep and patience could solve this discomfort.

Then last night, I had a break through. Before bed, my husband suggested that I was processing something deep that had been stored for a long time. He recommended that I not worry and embrace what that could be. Then I went into meditation and had another intense flashback. I relived my wisdom tooth surgery: the pre-surgery jitters, the comatose state, feeling close to death, the grief of losing a body part, the fear of not being with my mom, and the illness caused by the pharmaceutical drugs.

Retracing anesthesia is as scary as it gets for me. I learned just how harmful and traumatic the surgery was for my mind, body, and soul and that it’s haunted me for over a decade. I was reminded that I was close to death in a comatose state where my body was totally paralyzed, and I was victimized. I was reminded that those drugs leave residues. They can create temporary paralysis symptoms, moments of intense fear, and limit physical range of motions. It weakened my heart and has caused many episodes of dizziness.

I understand that pharmaceutical drugs and surgery have a time and a place, but that they should be used as an absolute last resort. I was reminded why I turn to whole foods, herbs, spices, and essential oil FIRST, and why I invest so much into prevention and healthy foundational habits. I was reminded of how powerful my body is and how my liver protected me from death. My heart kept pumping and has chosen to heal from lack of love, so that I may become unconditional love for my family. I woke up with a feeling of optimism and hope.

IMG_5045

My heart and boob still ache. I still feel the fear and panic releasing. But I know that I am transforming into a more powerful version of myself. I am grateful to be alive. I am grateful to be able to run, jump, and sing. I’m grateful to be able to breastfeed a beautiful little girl. I’m grateful for an amazing supportive husband who does not judge me for my past or emotions and instead holds space for me to heal and grow. I’m thankful for essential oils taking my health to the next level by helping me release such powerful, stored emotions. I’m grateful for the pink roses my daughter picked out. I’m grateful for the wild blueberry pie I had for breakfast. What an amazing opportunity for growth on Thanksgiving Day!

PS. Did you know that wild blueberries are one of the best foods to help overcome life and death situations? Wild blueberry bushes can be burned to the ground and will come back stronger than ever.

Sugar Case Study

One of my favorite parts of utilizing energy medicine with my clients is to see the variety and individuality in creating wellness plans. We are able to look beyond “healthy” and “unhealthy” foods and substances are dive deep into “What does this person need the most? What is most supportive and creates the most overall chi energy?”

My approach is unique in that when I create a nutrition plan, I’m not focusing on counting macros or calories. I’m looking at the ingredients themselves and how those specific foods effect the individual at hand. Of course, there are general statements that can apply to a large population of people. It’s hard to go wrong with eating more fresh organic fruits and vegetables. But just because a carrot is generally considered healthy does not mean that this is the vegetable to bring the individual back to balance and increase overall vitality.

There are so many factors at play. So much, in fact, that it’s impossible to be consciously aware and factor them in when designing a plan. However, our bodies have an innate ability to calculate exactly how it will respond to any given substance and how that response impacts the overall chi energy of the body. This we can verify with simple muscle testing techniques. With practice, I have learned how to identify the strength of the energy, the quality of the energy, and the location of where the energy strengthens or weakens the body the most. If you are new to the concept of energy medicine, I find demonstration to be most helpful as words alone are insufficient in understanding this concept. It is something that must be felt.

Recently, I was testing an individual who is struggling with a sugar addiction. He did a sugar free cleanse for 30 days, but quickly went back to ingesting refined sugar as the cravings were intense. The problem became severe enough that his immune system became suppressed and he was missing work due to extreme fatigue and tiredness.

I had a feeling that his body desperately needs more sugar, but the form of sugar he was ingesting was not serving him. Sure enough, any type of refined sugar, such as coconut sugar or cane sugar, immediately weakened his whole body. It was stealing energy and minerals from his liver, spleen, and pancreas while over stimulating his adrenals. But when I tested him on Vermont maple syrup, his overall energy strengthened incredibly as this source of sugar is concentrated, but minimally processed. We checked dates, raisins, and other dried fruits. They all tested very strong. Then I tested local, raw honey and his body registered potential shock and a chaotic, weak energy. This type of reaction signifies a potential food allergy or sensitivity. Then we tested raw, honey from Crete, Greece and it also tested very strong.

He had no way of knowing that the local, raw honey was wreaking havoc on his body, but a quick muscle test was able to identify the substance as non-compatible for his specific constitution.  It doesn’t matter how many studies and articles promote health benefits of local raw, honey. His individual response was different than expected and showed that what is beneficial to one person may not be for another. So why did he have a negative response? Well that question is much harder to answer. I can speculate but would need additional information to give a reliable interpretation.

What I loved most about this particular demonstration is that he was able to feel exactly how the individual substances were affecting his overall energy. This experience opened his eyes to how much damage his sugar addiction was causing. And it gave him the strength and determination to significantly reduce refined sugar consumption while increasing his consumption of concentrated, but minimally processed natural sugar. He’s not depriving his body of all sources of sugar, including fruits, to attempt to get over his sugar cravings. Instead, he’s embracing the right form of sugar that is properly fueling his body and will give him energy in such a way that will boost his immune system and allow him to work as he desires.

Homebirth Story

My first birth to Athena Joy was a typical first birth successfully accomplished at home. My midwife later informed me that I was statically in a group of less than 1% of women in the US to accomplish this feat. Even so, it was a long, painful, and utterly exhausting experience that broke me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I was happy with the decisions I had made and Athena thrived as a baby. But the experience had such an impression on me that I wasn’t sure I wanted to go through birth again. Low and behold, I became pregnant two years later and knew I had to go through it again. My experience the second time exceeded all of my expectations and left me feeling on top of the world and capable of anything. This is the feeling I wish all women could experience as they bring their children into the world.

IMG_0358This is the birth story of Isabella Claire.

At 40 weeks and 4 days, I woke up in the middle of the night feeling an odd period like sensation as blood flow to my pelvis increased without any discharge. I woke up in the morning with pelvic pressure hoping it was a sign that the baby was ready to bare down and get labor started. I took an epsom salt bath to see if the discomfort would disappear or progress. The sensations of pelvic pressure and discomfort disappeared during the bath, but picked back up after I dried off around 10:30 AM. I continued my day as usual taking care of Athena, cooking, cleaning, and doing house chores. I made and drank fresh pressed orange juice, consisting of navel and blood oranges. Every now and then I would feel a Braxton hick contraction sensation with associated pelvic ligament pain. Walking felt more difficult and any desire to leave the house diminished. I felt the urge to minimize movement, walking, and changing positions.

For lunch, I made brown rice pasta with moringa, avocado, tomato, tomato sauce, soy sauce, and turmeric. I called my husband, John, to let him know I suspected labor was impending but there was no need to rush home. I encouraged him to pick up groceries on his way home from work. At 3:40 PM, I texted my midwife to let her know that I had experienced two Braxton hicks accompanied by searing ligament pain. I watched a funny show to help pass time as I sat on my exercise ball. The contracts kept coming, and they were easy to breathe through. I ate a vegan burrito bowl from Chipotle for dinner.

IMG_9638

By 7:00 PM, the contractions were 8 minutes apart. I told John to go to bed with Athena as early as possible. I wanted him to get some rest before the contractions became intense enough where I wanted his support. They were in bed by 8:00 PM. I brought my exercise ball up to the bedroom where I sat on it next to the bed. I made a stack of pillow to lean against and rest between contractions. The room was quiet, filled with only my thoughts. The light was dim with a red flow from my salt lamp. I entered a meditative state where I felt positive affirmations come and go. I asked my body to let the energy go where it needed to go. I asked my body to not resist the pain and discomfort. I focused on breathing as deeply and relaxed as I go during each wave. I asked my body to be strong where it needed to be strong and soft where it needed to give way. I found strength in breath and reminded myself that only I could give birth to this baby. By taking full responsibility for the birth, I asked for the strength to be the mother this child needed. I was quiet, focused, and felt confident in my ability to labor on my own. This lasted about three and a half hours.

Since my first labor took a couple of days, I had told my midwife and in-laws to get some sleep and that the baby would likely be born sometime the next day. I knew this birth would be faster, but assumed the early stage would take a while and wanted everyone to come well rested.

At 11:30 PM, I went to the bathroom as I felt like I needed to poop. When I pushed down, I felt something shift. Suddenly, the manageable contractions became much more intense. I could no longer enter my quiet meditative state. I found myself vocalizing with each contraction to help with pain management. The primal instincts kicked into full gear and I felt the power of labor take over. John heard me in the bathroom and came to see if I needed help.  He came with me into the bedroom and gave me support and comfort during each contraction. He offered a heating pad, but I was repulsed by how the heat changed my blood flow. Even massage felt like a distraction from the process at hand. Therefore, I sat on the ball holding onto to John and vocalizing through each wave. During one particularly painful contraction, I felt what I perceived to be the baby’s nose and forehead twist into my pelvic bone. It was simultaneously fascinating and horrifying. I suspect this contraction is what caused her stork bite.

At 12:00 AM early Friday morning, the contractions were 4-5 minutes apart. I had difficulty breathing into the waves and felt resistance to the pain. I became nauseous, panicky, and shaky. I told my midwife that I needed her at 12:23 AM. I felt like labor was progressing much faster than I had anticipated and felt like I needed support or a new strategy to cope with each wave. Surprisingly, Athena was sleeping soundly in the next room and was not disturbed by my vocalizations. She woke up once asking John to stay with her, and quickly went back to sleep after he left the room.

The midwife arrived at 1:10 AM. Right after she walked into the room, I felt a downward urge with the contraction. I looked at her in disbelief and asked if it was okay to bear down. She encouraged me to go with the sensation.  I couldn’t believe I was in the transition phase already. Soon after, the pain of a contraction tested my limits and I heard myself tell John and the midwife “I can’t do this.” John looked at my slightly puzzled and said, “You ARE doing this.” It was the perfect response to give me confidence. I realized that I had hit the transition phase and the labor would be over soon.

I began pushing at 1:30 AM, right after the midwife’s assistant and my in-laws arrived. I felt the urge to push 3-4 times per contraction. I was surprised by my muscle memory and strength during each push. I could feel baby moving down through the birth canal. The midwife checked the baby’s heart rate once and it was perfect. I was in a squat position leaning against the bed with protective pads underneath on the floor. I realized the baby was coming very fast and awkwardly stripped off all of my clothes. I felt the baby’s head emerge and then the body soon after. It was quick and there was no ring of fire. John caught the baby and held it as I crawled into bed. After only 15 minutes of pushing, the baby arrived at 1:43 AM on January 4th 2019.

IMG_0356

John put the baby on my chest and exclaimed, “It’s a girl.” After several dreams vividly showing the baby as a girl, I thought, “Of course! It’s Isabella Claire.” No boy names resonated during the pregnancy, so I was hoping my intuition was right. Ironically, I was confident about the labor, but as soon as I held the small baby on my chest, I no longer had a clue what I was supposed to do. I kept asking the midwife, “What do I do next?” We took our time and bonded. The midwife wiped vernix off of her eyes. Within the hour, Isabella had latched. We waited until the umbilical cord was done pulsing to cut it.

IMG_9633Isabella rated a 10 on her first apgar score. She cried and breathed well. She was an average size, weighing 6.5 lbs and 20 inches long. She looked beat up with a stork bite on her forehead and right eye, but showed no complications or reason for concern. The midwife confirmed that I had minimal blood loss when the baby came out, and I was not at risk for hemorrhaging or excessive blood loss. I even managed to keep my perineum in tact without a single tear. My placenta came out easily. The afterpains were intense, but very effective at stopping bleeding and helping my uterus shrink.

My total labor lasted 16 hours with 2-3 hours of active labor and 15 minutes of pushing. It was very fast compared to my first labor that lasted 53 hours with 10 hours of active labor and 3 hours of pushing.

I was high on hormones. I could handle all of the physical and emotional stress during and after labor. My core still felt relatively strong as I walked to the bathroom for the first time after birth. I was tired, but not exhausted and could move well on my own. I bled fairly heavy for 3 days and then the flow was spotty and minimal for the next couple of weeks. I was able to switch from depends to pads within two weeks. Bleeding nearly ceased by 4 weeks with minimal spotting afterwards. Isabella grew fast, gaining 4 lbs in the first 5 weeks. She slept and ate well with almost no crying. She would sleep on her own sometimes and was content as long as she was fed, clean, and being held.

In the postpartum period, fresh orange juice in the morning and grounding soups with root vegetables at night gave me life. I had some night sweats that I was able to reduce by increasing intake of organic soy milk and soy sauce. I took an Epsom salt bath every 2-3 days to keep my magnesium levels high to help cope with stress and optimize healing. I rested in bed as much as I could for the first 3-4 days. After that I became stir crazy and became cooking, cleaning, and went for car rides and walks. I was constantly surprised by how well the labor, birth, and postpartum period had gone. I was healing at least twice as fast the second time around. I was 10-15 lbs lighter than the first time. I was stronger, happier, confident, and empowered. I could easily see myself having another child in couple of years.

Suffering and trauma are an inherent part of life and the birth process. What we can do is educate ourselves and submit in a way that reduces additional unnecessary suffering. We need to embrace the pain, submit to the discomfort, and believe that our body knows exactly how the baby needs to come out. I had no fear. I had no desire for external pain medication. I never entertained the idea of going to a hospital. I loved staying in my home and focusing on the task at hand. I knew my birth vision could come to life if I stayed in the moment and embraced each challenge with a positive perspective. I am able to look back on my experience with pride.

IMG_0359I attribute my positive birth experience to a whole food plant based pregnancy. I used muscle testing to pick optimal foods and quantities at each stage. I gained enough weight, but did not suffer from edema or intestinal distress. My body was hydrated and flexible. I continued to exercise moderately until the day before labor began. I focused on walking, rebounding, handstands against a wall, and calisthenics that focused on pelvic and back strength. I did regular Epsom salt baths to keep my magnesium levels from getting depleted. I meditated daily and worked through fears, concerns, and emotions regarding the birth, including processing and healing from my first birth. I found a midwife who was very supportive and brought a peaceful confidence to the process. She focused on informed consent without fear mongering.

Every woman is different. Every pregnancy is different. Every labor and birth experience are different. I hope more and more women will enter birth with confidence in their natural ability instead of fear of worst-case scenarios. I hope birth attendants will support women when they feel doubt instead of looking for a reason to create unnecessary panic and interventions. When I envision female empowerment, I think about how we view and treat women during their most vulnerable and powerful moments during birth.

The Energetic Body

To heal means to become whole. One can only become whole when they address the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of their livelihood. We are all born with a physical body, an energetic body, and a spiritual connection to the cosmos. While many of our health ailments manifest in the physical body, we must look to our energetic body to understand the origin of chronic illness. For we are all born with an energetic body just as individual as our thumbprint and all physical manifestations begin as pure energy.

I’ve been inspired by reading Energy Medicine: Balancing Your Body’s Energies for Optimal Health, Joy, and Vitality by Donna Eden and Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom: Creating Physical and Emotional Health and Healing by Christiane Northrup, M.D. These two amazing women have been able to hone in on imbalances in the energetic body and how those energies influence the physical body, disease, and its ability to heal.

What is the energetic body?

The energetic body is also referred to as “etheric body” or “subtle body” and is the first layer of the aura (human energy field). This layer is directly connected to the physical body, sustains the physical, and connects the spiritual realm to the physical realm. Although most people today are unable to visually see auras, we feel them and interact with their energies every day. Those who study energy medicine have the ability to feel and analyze the energetic body.

Chakra and Subtle Body

’Subtle’ energies were described by Einstein as energies we know of because of their effects but do not have the instruments to detect directly… While these subtle energies cannot move a needle on a gauge, many healers know how to engage them to restore health and vitality. (Eden, 21)

Within the energetic body lies seven layers of seven chakras. Each chakra is an energy station of spiraling energy where refined emotional and spiritual information are transformed and distributed into the cells of the physical body. The seven chakras are as follows from bottom top: root chakra, sacral chakra, solar plexus chakra, heart chakra, throat chakra, third eye chakra, and crown chakra. Please note that there are many names for these energy centers depending on the culture of origin, and the locations of the energy centers and associated qualities remains synonymous throughout worldly literature.

Main Chakras

Each chakra spirals through seven layers within the energetic body towards the physical body . The outer layer contained the chaotic energy of recent events that have yet to be fully integrated. The deeper the layer, the more clear and consistent the energy becomes. The fourth layer embodies energy from previous experiences in the person’s life. Memory is encoded in the fourth, fifth, and sixth layers as images and stories. The seventh layer contains issues and wisdom learned from previous lifetimes or ancestors. The color and density of this layer are different than every other layer.

How does the energetic body connect to physical illness?

The following chart gives an overview of how the energetic body connects the physical organs to emotional and mental experiences that stem from personal and inherited experience. The examples illustrate possible correlations between energy imbalance and specific disease manifestation.

How do energetic imbalances cause physical illness?

Most of the blockages in your vibrational systems are emotional in nature. It’s helpful to think of your vibrational system as being like a stream of water flowing along. As long as this energy flow is healthy and you are feeling good about yourself, there’s much less risk of disease. Environmental toxins, dietary fat, and excess sugar or alcohol (to name a few) usually don’t manifest in disease unless other factors have already set up the pattern of blockage in the body’s energy system in the first place. Environmental or dietary risk factors can be likened to debris carried along in the body’s energy flow. This debris stays afloat unless there is a felled tree or other blockage to the water flowing in the stream. When there is, the debris collects in the branches of the felled tree and accumulates. Over time, similar accumulations in the body’s energy flow can result in physical illness. (Northrup, 68)

Where and how disease manifests in an individual’s body is directly correlated to inheritance, personal experiences, memories, and emotional imbalances that are stored in the energy body. If one is not able to verbalize trauma and is therefore unable to fully process, cope, or adapt to those experiences, then the memories become stored and will show up as physical symptoms. It’s important to note that it is not the memory or the trauma itself that causes problems, but rather the interpretation of the experience and the ability to process. Once physical symptoms have manifested, it’s important to listen to the body’s intuition (a form an internal communication) to know what needs to be addressed emotionally and physically.

What are methods to heal from imbalances in the energetic body?

Meditation, talk therapy, acupuncture, singing, and energy work are methods to locate and address imbalances in the energetic body.

Mona Lisa Schultz, a psychiatrist and medical intuitive, recommends the following four steps to process traumatic memories and experiences.

We (psychiatrists) teach memory maturation. This consists of four steps: (1) locating the traumatic experience in the past and differentiating it from our current reality; (2) focusing on living in the present without feeling or behaving according to irrelevant demands belonging to the past; (3) decreasing hyperarousal by means of mediation, relaxation response, and exercise; and (4) decreasing intrusive reliving and stopping traumatic black hole cycles. (Schulz, 99)

As an energy worker, I am able to pick up on not only where the physical disease is manifesting in specific organs, but also where imbalances lie in the energetic body that have potential to reverse or create physical disease. The chart above is a good general representation on how the energetic and emotional body communicate through physical illness, but each individual’s body has its unique dialect and symbolism. Therefore, it is up to the individual to listen to their intuition and hone in on the specific meaning of their symptoms. This internal work is often the missing link in those who suffer from chronic illness and are not healing, regardless of lifestyle changes.

Root Cause of Allergies and How to Reverse Them

One of my biggest challenges of living with Chronic Lyme Disease was the emergence of food and environmental allergies. I developed a severe case of OCD in an attempt to eliminate or avoid anything that triggered an allergic response. I was highly reactive to mold, construction dust, pollen, animal products, antibiotics, pharmaceuticals, wheat, dairy, corn and corn products, chemical additive such as sodium benzoate, synthetic fragrances, and even foods, such as sweet potatoes, pineapple, zucchini, eggplant, etc. I would have panic attacks, asthma attacks, mental confusion, general itching, and debilitating fatigue. I was so consumed with fear of everyday activities and environments that I could no longer live fully. I had entered pure survival mode with a very low quality of life. I developed PTSD and experienced increasingly worse allergic reactions.

When I finally discovered the right path to healing, I still eliminated and avoided allergy triggers, but I kept an optimistic perspective. I was determine to understand the root cause of allergies and how to reverse them. I was highly disappointed with the literature on allergies from a western medical perspective. I found proclaimed ignorance to the cause and poor symptom management techniques. In the alternative medicine realm, I found NAET and used that technique for several months without much decrease in allergic reactions. I would have had to done hundreds of NAET sessions to reverse all of my allergies if it was effective, so I found the treatment to be a poor use of time and monetary resources.

I gathered what information I could find from various sources that presented pieces of the puzzle to the allergy mystery. I created an allergy theory and drew up a lifestyle game plan to reverse my allergies. As of a month ago, I have successfully reversed all of my environmental and foods allergies, including my most severe reactions to mold and sweet potatoes.

In this article, I will present my allergy theory and the steps necessary to reverse allergies. My theory and experimental results closely align with the theory presented by nutritional balancing scientist, Dr. Lawrence Wilson. My theory differs in that I recommend the elimination of animal products and the inclusion of organic fruits.

For the purpose of this article, I am going to define an allergic response as a prolonged inflammatory stress response. I am going to focus on IgG and IgE type reactions. This theory does not apply to anaphylaxis IGA type reactions.  It is important to remember that allergic reactions have an evolutionary advantage that consists of protection from foreign objects. In a healthy immune response, there is a stress wave consisting of an acute phase followed by a recovery phase before the body returns back to equilibrium. In the acute phase, the immune system secretes pro-inflammatory signaling proteins and hormones to attack and sequester the foreign object. In the recovery phase, the body secretes anti-inflammatory hormones, such as cortisol, to disperse and replenish nutrition to the army of immune responders. When the immune responders are dispersed, rested, and restored then the body is back in equilibrium ready for the next attack. An allergic response occurs when there is a breakdown in the proper immune response and symptoms arise from prolonged inflammation.

Root Causes of Allergies

  • Weak Adrenal Glands.

The adrenal glands are responsible for producing cortisol, the body’s main anti-inflammatory hormone that is responsible for the regenerative phase of the stress wave. Also, the adrenals produce pro-inflammatory hormones, epinephrine and norepinephrine (AKA adrenaline and noradrenaline), to slow down allergic reactions by opposing histamine production. A person showing signs of a sympathetic dominance pattern struggles from a dysregulation of glands that prevent the nervous system from properly responding to immune responses. Exposure to fatigue, cold and stress of any kind can weaken the adrenal glands and trigger more severe allergic reactions.

  • Cell Permeability

Cell membrane defects allow foreign proteins to enter cells; this causes histamine to pass freely in and out of cells. When the histamine reaches blood circulation, symptoms will appear.

  • Nutrient Deficiencies coupled with Heavy Metal Toxicities

Vitamin C deficiencies lead to adrenal insufficiency, as this vitamin is a building block for the production of cortisol. More vitamin C is stored in the adrenals than any other part of the body. Under times of stress, the body retains copper and dumps zinc to properly manage stress hormones, such as adrenaline. Chronic stress and poor nutrition will lead to a zinc deficiency coupled with a copper toxicity.

  • Leaky Gut

This condition presents with damaged, inflamed, and malnourished intestinal membrane that becomes excessively permeable. Unwanted foreign objects, such as partially digested food, food toxins, food chemicals, bacteria, viruses, and fungus, cross the intestinal membrane and enter the bloodstream. At this point, the body mounts a systematic inflammatory response to clear the blood of unwanted, foreign objects.

  • Ingestion of Foreign Objects

The human body is not meant to ingest certain objects, because there is no nutritional value and the objects cause harm to human tissues. Common foreign objects that elicit strong allergic responses include but are not limited to chemical toxins (food additives, herbicides), heavy metals, pharmaceutical drugs, and vaccines.

  • Autointoxication

When the elimination organs and pathways become congested, the body’s ability to properly break down and assimilate food decreases. This could be the result of liver congestion due to thick bile, intrahepatic stones, and parasites. Intrahepatic stones may appear in the common bile duct where they partially block the flow pancreatic enzymes of fluids necessary to break down food in the stomach and small intestine. Decreased food breakdown and absorption leads to large food particles putrefying in the large intestine thereby causing auto-intoxication.

  • Trauma

Emotional and physical traumas can weaken the adrenals, deplete nutrients, and encourage the storage of toxic metals. The type of trauma can have an effect on where the toxic metals are stored and where the allergic reaction presents.

How to Properly Interpret IGG Food Allergy Test Results

Allergy and sensitivity testing is very popular in the alternative health world right now. While it is logical for someone to have an adverse reaction to a foreign object, it seems strange that people are having adverse reactions to whole foods. Being allergic to foods that have incredible healing properties never sat well with me. Recently, I listened to a podcast by Anthony Williams, The Medical Medium, on this topic (see sources) and his interpretation of IgG testing resonated with my understanding of natural laws and my personal experience with reversing food allergies.

The IgG allergy test recognizes when the body produces histamine in response to eating certain whole foods. However, the method in which these healing food produce histamine is indirect via a healing reaction. Often these foods have powerful healing capabilities, such as antimicrobial properties. If you have a viral, bacterial, or fungal overgrowth, then ingesting this food may will the infection. When these germs die, they release neurotoxins and the body needs to clean up the debris, so the body mounts an immune response (cue histamine!) to clean up the mess. Also, you may only exhibit the undesirable allergy symptoms when your elimination organs and pathways are congest and the adrenals are weak.

If you chose to get tested, pay attention to the foods that elicit an IgG response. Those food are going to be your medication for returning to vitality. However, start slowly and watch how you respond as to not elicit an intolerable healing reaction. Make sure to support your adrenals as you reintroduce or increase these foods. You want to avoid consuming so much at once that you exhaust all of your adrenal resources. I recommend muscle testing foods that trigger IgG responses before adding them back into your diet. If you muscle test strong, then your adrenals are healthy enough to handle the healing that will happen in response to eating that food.

How to Reverse Allergies

Begin a nutritional balancing program that focuses on organic, gluten-free, non-gmo whole foods. This means you must reduce and eliminate wheat, dairy, animal products, and processed foods, especially those containing refined or synthetic sugar and gmos. See my article on glyphosate as to why I make this general recommendation.

Focus on incorporating foods that are high in vitamin C, vitamin A, manganese, bioflavonoids, essential fatty acids (avocados, Greek extra virgin olive oil, coconut oi), and herbs like stinging nettle. Eat lightly cooked vegetables 2-3 times a day to reverse nutritional deficiencies. Reverse mineral deficiencies by incorporating sea salt, fresh pressed celery juice, lemons, limes, sea vegetables, and leafy greens. Heal leaky gut by incorporating pre-biotics (bananas, potatoes, sweet potatoes) and living probiotics in the form of fermented vegetables (sauerkraut, kombucha).

Decongest elimination organs and pathways. This is key. It doesn’t matter how good your diet is if you cannot break down and absorb nutrients or effectively process toxins and metabolic waste. In my experience, the best way to decongest the liver is to perform a liver flush series by Andreas Mortiz (check out “The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush”) combined with coffee enemas as needed and nutritional liver support, such as dandelion tea. Decongest the intestines by performing colonics or warm water enemas and reducing or eliminating animal products that have no fiber. Support the kidneys with optimal hydration. Drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of pure water every day. Drink cranberry juice, lemons, and kidney cleanse tea to break down calcification. Decongest the skin by sweating regularly during exercise or warm Epsom salt baths.

Reduce and eliminate ingesting foreign objects. Cease taking pharmaceutical medications, vaccines, and flu shots. Avoid eating processed foods and taking synthetic supplements. Switch over to natural cosmetics and cleaning products (castile soap, vinegar).

Exercise at light and moderate intensities by incorporating walking, yoga, stretching, rebounding, and light weights into your fitness routine. Temporarily reduce or eliminate intense exercise, such as running, that can deplete the adrenals.

Utilize stress reduction and management techniques, such as sleep, meditation, and spending time in nature. Find ways to process and let go of negative emotions while focusing on optimistic perspective and positive thoughts. Work through and release past emotional traumas. Don’t forget to laugh and remember Bill Hick’s saying “It’s just a ride.”

The most important take away from this article is that allergies can be reversed. You do not have to suffer and live in fear of the next reaction for the rest of your life. Be patient. It may take a year or longer for allergic reactions to cease when you take steps that lead to rebuilding the adrenals, liver, and intestines.

Coffee Enema Procedure

What You’ll Need:

  • Organic Coffee (Must be caffeinated to work!)
  • Enema Kit (Bag or Bucket and Tube)
  • Lubricant (Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, or Castor Oil)
  • Old Towels
  • Bathtub or Yoga Mat
  • Stove with pot
  • Cheese Cloth
  • Sea Salt
  • Distilled water
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Timer
  • Measuring spoons
  • Medium Bowl

Ingredients for optional binding elixir:

  • 2 tsps Hawaiian Spirulina
  • 4-6 oz Cranberry juice
  • 1-2 oz Grade A Maple Syrup
  • 1 Lime

Directions:

It is highly recommend to drink a binding elixir, 1 hour before the coffee enema. Mix 2 tsps of spirulina with enough maple syrup to cover the surface of spirulina in a glass. Add in 4-6 oz of cranberry juice and the juice of one lime. Stir altogether and drink. This will help absorb toxins in the intestines that are released by the coffee enema and support the kidneys. Another option is to eat a whole food containing fiber with strong binding properties. Apples or beans are a great choice, but many fruits and vegetables will suffice. If you skip this step, then you may experience a toxicity symptoms a few hours after the enema due to toxin reabsorption through the gut wall.

Water Enema Preparation (Optional)

Pour 4-12 cups of distilled water into a pot with 1 tsp of sea salt. Bring the pot to a boil and then let cool down to a warm, but not scalding temperature. Think of the ideal temperature for a baby bath water. Transfer water to a pitcher to bring to the bathroom.

Coffee Preparation

Pour 4 cups of distilled water and 2 tbsp of organic coffee into a pot. Bring the mixture to a boil, cover, and simmer on medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool to a warm, but not scalding temperature.  If the coffee is too hot, then you could burn the intestinal lining, ouch! If the coffee is too cold, then the liquid will shock your system making the enema very difficult to hold. Be like Goldilocks and make sure the temperature is just right.

Place a medium bowl on the counter with a cheese cloth draped on top. Pour the coffee through the cheese cloth into the bowl. The cheese cloth will strain out the coffee grinds leaving only liquid in the medium bowl. Rinse out the cheese cloth and hang to dry. Add 1 tsp of sea salt to the coffee and stir.

Bathroom Setup

Lay one towel on the bottom of the tub where you will lay your body above your waist. Roll up a second towel so that it is several inches thick, and lay it below the other towel where you can rest your hips. Place a third towel on the tub edge. This is where you will lay the enema bucket. Remove floor bath mats near the bathtub and toilet. It is easier to clean the tile than wash the bathmats if there is an accident. Place Hydrogen Peroxide, a spoon containing coconut oil, and a timer on the tub edge. Lubricate the bottom 5-6 inches of the enema tube and the site of insertion with coconut oil.

Water Enema Procedure (Optional)

Those new to enemas often benefit from performing a water enema first before a coffee enema. The water will clear out the colon and make coffee retention much easier.

Make sure the clamp on the enema tube is closed. Pour the water from the pitcher into the bucket. Start with 2-4 cups of water per enema. Open the clamp to let the water flow through the tube thereby removing the air. Lay down on your back with your hips elevated on the towel. Gently insert the tube into your rectum. Do not force the insertion. Remember to breathe, relax, and move the tube around if there is resistance. Once the tube has been inserted 5-6 inches, unclamp the tube and let the water flow.

Once all of the water has drained from the bucket, remove the tube and set a timer for 3-5 minutes. When the timer beeps or you can no longer hold them enema in, sit on the toilet and release the liquid. Be patient and wait until all of the bowel contents have passed. If you are having issues, massage your belly two inches to the left of your belly button. You can repeat the water enema up to 2 times or move on to the coffee enema procedure.

Once all of the coffee has drained from the bucket, remove the tube and set a timer for 15 minutes. If you are new to coffee enemas, you may find it difficult to hold the liquid for the full 15 minutes. This is fine. If you are more experienced, you may feel more comfortable laying on your right side. Be sure to lay on your back or left side for a minute before releasing. When the timer beeps or you can no longer hold them enema in, sit on the toilet and release the liquid. Be patient and wait until all of the bowel contents have passed. If you are having issues, massage your belly two inches to the left of your belly button.

Clean Up

Rinse and clean the bathtub, enema kit, and any spills with water, hydrogen peroxide, and/or castile soap. Throw dirty towels into the laundry hamper, and you’re done!

Tips

  • Buy the enema kit online.
  • Whole Foods sells organic coffee, cheese cloth, and spirulina.
  • Target and Walmart sell Distilled Water, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Epsom Salt.
  • Trader Joes sells Himalayan sea salt.
  • Double the recipe. This becomes very useful if you can’t hold it for the full 15 minutes. Extra coffee can be kept in the fridge.
  • Light a 100% Beeswax candle and put on relaxing music. Use this time to pamper yourself.
  • If you’re not squeamish, check the toilet bowel for parasites. You may be surprised at what you see.
  • If you are having a gallbladder attack, add 1-2 tsp of Epsom salt instead of sea salt. This will dilate the bile ducts further and will help intrahepatic gallstones to pass.
  • If possible, perform the enema after having a bowel movement. Otherwise, perform a warm salt water enema prior to the coffee enema. This will reduce toxicity reabsorption and improve the ability to hold the coffee enema for the full 15 minutes.
  • If you are sensitive to caffeine, begin with 1 tbsp of coffee and lay on your right side.
  • Do not exceed 4-6 tbsp of coffee per day.
  • If diarrhea is induced, drink water with one fresh squeezed lemon and a pinch of sea salt to stay hydrated.
  • If you are detoxing heavy metals, crush broken cell wall Chlorella into a powder and add it to the coffee.

Intro to Cancer: Causes and Treatments

What is Cancer?

Cancer is a survival mechanism that occurs only when all other protective measures have failed. A cancer cell is a normal, healthy cell that undergoes genetic mutation in response to an environmental change. When there is a drastic reduction or shutdown of vital nutrients and accumulation of toxic, metabolic wastes, then a cancerous tumor will form. Cancer cells are able to survive and provide energy to the surrounding tissues in an acidic environment lacking oxygen. They thrive on fermenting metabolic wastes, such as lactic acid. If cancer cells did not remove lactic acid from the cell environment, then the accumulation of this strong acid would lead to the fatal condition, acidosis—a condition that involves the destruction of healthy cells due to high level of acidity. Without cancer cells, lactic acid and other waste material would enter into the bloodstream and cause septic shock and consequent death.

It is important to note that a cancerous tumor is neither the cause of progressive destruction nor does it actually lead to the death of the body. To be able to heal the body of cancer, you must first acknowledge and trust in your body’s innate healing wisdom and ability.

What Causes Cancer?

Cancer only strikes when a part of the body is no longer alive physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It develops when channels of circulation and elimination have been consistently blocked for a long time. Anything that prevent nutrients, such as oxygen, water, and glucose, from reaching cells can cause cancer. This primarily includes the thickening of the blood capillary walls and the congestion of the lymphatic ducts.

Research shows a diet high in animal products greatly increases the risk for developing cancer. The biological mechanism for processing excessive dietary protein leads to the thickening of blood and the lymphatic system. With regular consumption of animal proteins (meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, and milk) intrahepatic stones form in the liver. These stones decrease the liver’s ability to breakdown protein, so the level of protein in the blood increases. When these acid-forming and blood thickening proteins circulate the blood, the body thins the blood by depositing these proteins in the fluid surrounding the cells (intracellular fluid). The thinning of the blood prevent imminent dangers, such as heart attack and stroke, but hinders the ability of nutrients to flow from the blood to the cells. The reduction in nutrients increases the risk for cellular starvation. To prevent cellular starvation, the body removes these proteins from the intracellular fluid and coverts them to collagen fiber that is used to build the basal membrane of blood vessel walls. First, the capillaries thicken, then the blood vessel thicken, and ultimately, the arteries thicken. This thickening action blocks nutrients from reaching the cells and increases metabolic waste production.

The ducts and nodes of the lymphatic system are designed to remove or detoxify normal amounts of metabolic waste products, which includes 30 million worn-out cells daily. These old cells are composed of proteins, so additional dietary protein may overtax the lymphatic system by reducing lymph flow and increasing fluid retention. This increases the concentration of metabolic waste products in the intracellular fluid and leads to a phenomenon called a toxicity crisis.

In very simple terms, there are two broad components that cause cancer: nutritional deficiencies and toxicities. The following list includes a wide variety of lifestyle factors that may lead to cancer by decreasing nutritional availability or increasing cellular toxicity.

How to Successfully Treat Cancer?

The cause of cancer is specific to each individual. Therefore, it is up to you to become mindful and aware of your personal lifestyle factors that could have led to the development of a cancerous tumor. As you become more in tune with your body, you will find an understanding of what it needs to properly heal and recover.

The first place to start is adjusting your perspective and attitude. Dr. Andreas Moritz kindly reminds us that “Healing is accepting, allowing, and supporting, not fighting or resisting. This is how spontaneous remissions occur. The body uses its maximum healing capacity when it is not reoccupied with a fight or flight response which occurs when you are under stress or feel threatened.” Be patient, kind, and loving to yourself.

Choose to spend your time, money, and energy on therapies that support the healing process through nutrition and detoxification. Remove as many negative and stressful energies from your life as possible. Let your intuition shine. You are in control of your healing journey. Doctors, family, and friends may be there to guide and support you, but ultimately the decision is yours. Choose wisely and listen to your heart.

The Cancer Shame Connection: Church and Societal Influence.

I grew up in the church. My father was a pastor, and I spent more time in the classrooms and gymnasiums of religious affiliated schools, the church office, and in the sanctuary than I did at home. I am very proud of my upbringing. It gave me a wonderful foundation full of strong morals, love for community, humility, and compassion.

However, this experience also opened my eyes to church politics and the shortcomings of the human element of religion. I’ve encountered a large number of self-proclaimed Christians who feel compelled to judge and shame others. They profess a need to control the actions and thoughts of others and do so in the name of God. Although this is an unfortunate method practiced by Christians, it has absolutely no biblical basis. We are to “love thy neighbor as thou lovest thyself” and leave the final judgement to God.

As I sit in church, I listen to the pastor as he prays for the members. I observe the increasing list of members afflicted with cancer. I observe the coffee and sugar laden food and beverages that are served at most church functions. As a pre-teen, I fondly remember looking forward to eating a donut or two and drinking a cup of coffee during Bible class.

I also remember being told that only whores wear eyeliner and nail polish, unmarried couples who live together deserve the silent treatment until they change their sinful ways, a girl’s worth is determine by her sexual purity, and people who associate with other Christian denominations are going to hell. I won’t mention other twisted philosophies regarding homosexuality, divorce, recreational drugs, and other religions. It is very important to separate the biblical teachings from the flawed human interpretation.

In this moment, I am sitting at a coffee shop sporting eye liner and a crop top that exposes my midriff to the glorious warmth of the sunshine. I have learned to love and appreciate my body, including my sexuality. Last night, I befriended a man who used to strip and struggled with a drug addiction. A few weeks ago, I befriended a man who had just gone through a divorce, and his partner who used to be a powerful drug dealer in Boston. Through self-acceptance and love, I have discovered a universal love: one love that applies to all of humanity, the earth, and its inhabitants. I no longer feel bound by peer pressure and have no desire to conform to society for the sake of feeling accepted.

I feel compelled to write on the topic of shame, guilt, and controlling behaviors, because I have received a large amount of hatred, personal attacks, and emotional abuse from people I used to consider friends and family. The more I love and accept, the more hatred and ridicule I receive. This has been very difficult for me to understand and process as I am a sensitive soul with no room for hatred in my heart. I have been told that I am a rare form, one that is appreciated by those who embrace humility and threatening to those with an inflated ego. I’ve been reminded that the people of this earth crucified Jesus, shot Martin Luther King Junior, and poisoned Socrates. Why do people feel the need to silence those who preach peace, love, and acceptance?

Furthermore, what effect does this have on the health of individuals? What happens when someone succumbs to the fear tactics of church or society? They reject who they are and sacrifice their own needs and desires to conform. They do so in search of love and acceptance. Unfortunately, the church and society only offer conditional love and acceptance. As long as you abide by their man-made rules, then they will acknowledge you as a valuable member. If you stray from the common census, then they may subject you to isolation, condemnation, or dehumanization. The fear of suffering the consequences of living a life true to oneself may overwhelm an individual. If left unresolved overtime, these fears will physically manifest in the body as an illness.

If they (cancer patients) sacrifice and neglect their own wellbeing to avoid facing any shame, guilt, or unworthiness within themselves, they are actually cutting off the very limb they are hanging on to. They are “selflessly” devoted to please other so that, in return, they may be loved and appreciated for their contributions. This, however, serves as an unconscious acknowledgement of not loving oneself. This may lock up unresolved issues, fears, and feelings of unworthiness in cellular memory of the organs and tissues of the body.

—Dr. Andreas Moritz, Cancer is Not a Disease It’s a Survival Mechanism

Throughout his 30 years of treating cancer patients, Dr. Moritz found that all cancer patients had one thing in common: they all experienced feelings of unworthiness, lacking in self-love and self-acceptance. The mere act of a cancer patient verbally acknowledging self-love has turned off the fight-or-flight response and incited a healing response that has led to spontaneous remission of cancer. Often times, healing cancer is much more complicated, but the power of the mind should not be underestimated.

What can we do as church members and individuals contributing to society to decrease the suffering associated with cancer and other chronic illnesses? We can start by choosing to love and accept ourselves in the midst of our imperfection. This will allow us to freely love and accept others, eliminate judgment and shame, and provide a positive support system where others are encouraged to do the same. Eliminating sugar-laden processed foods and animal products at social gatherings would also help, but let’s take one step at a time.

Say “No!” to Antibiotics

We can only be victims of conventional medicine if we give doctors control over the decision-making process. Whenever I go to a doctor’s visit, I always inform the doctor that they do not have permission to give me prescription antibiotics. After the shock wears off of his or her face, they start to ask what if questions, and my response is always the same. Regardless of the medical issue at hand, I refuse to ingest antibiotics. This stance may appear foolish and short-sighted to those who prescribe or take antibiotics on a regular basis. But I assure, it is not.

If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with Lyme (or any other infection), then I implore you to thoroughly research the negative biological effects of prescription antibiotics and testimonials of other Lyme patients who have taken that treatment path. Before I dive into scientific theory, I would like to share my story.

My Experience with Antibiotics

It was my junior year of college, and I had been fighting a severe sinus infection. It was an infection that started off as the most painful sore throat and turned into a persistent upper respiratory infection. I was under the impression that the infection could not be viral and must be bacterial, since it had been persistent for a month. I setup a doctor’s office, explained my situation, and was prescribed Amoxicillin. Like many others, I had taken antibiotics before and never experienced any noticeable issues, so I assumed this was the safest route back to health. I could not have been more wrong.

Two hours after swallowing the first dose of Amoxicillin, my life changed forever. I was sitting in a room working on homework, and all of a sudden I was hit with an intense feeling of fear. My external environment was calm, but my internal environment had switched into full panic mode. My core muscles began to involuntarily contract and release. I was shaking, twitching, and convulsing as I laid on the floor. Unsure of what was going on, I decided to lay down in bed and wait for the episode to pass. The periodic convulsions persisted, so I headed to the emergency room two hours later.

Overtime, my health deteriorated further. I continued to experience partial seizures. I developed food, chemical, and environmental sensitivities. I began fighting a range of viral and bacterial infections, and was eventually diagnosed with Lyme Disease. My poor gut health lead to a systematic illness that affected every organ and cell in my body. I can only imagine the route my life would have taken if I had simply refused to take Amoxicillin. However, my journey is not in vain. It has inspired me to question treatment methods of conventional medicine and search for a deeper understanding of preventing and healing chronic illness.

The War on Infection

In the mid to late 19th Century, scientists were debating the origin and purpose of germs. Louis Pasteur became known as the father of The Germ Theory. His interpretation of experimental research led him and his followers to believe that bacteria and viruses originate in the environment and are the root cause of disease. Therefore, by killing germs, we can successfully treat disease.

On the other hand, Pasteur’s rival, Antoine Béchamp, created the pleomorphic theory from his own experiments and research. His theory suggests that germs originate from microzyma, organisms that live within the human body (and other organisms) where they usually remain quiescent and harmless. When the body is threatened by a potentially harmful matter and unhealthy terrain, the microzyma morph into bacteria and viruses. The purpose of these germs is to remove the harmful matter, dead cells, and toxins. Therefore, germs are the result of disease, not the cause. We can successfully treat disease by cleaning up the harmful matter, dead cells, and toxins.

On his deathbed, Pasteur admitted that the cause of disease is the terrain, not the germs. If you read about Pasteur’s experimental procedures, then you will find that his research was invalid and unscientific: he injected healthy animals with blood from diseased animals merely demonstrating that you can induce disease in healthy tissue by poisoning the blood with dead cells. For the purpose of this article, we will entertain the idea that Béchamp’s stance holds more truth than Pasteur’s. See the links below for more information on this debate.

Unhealthy Terrain

What determines an unhealthy terrain? The following four factors are the root cause of all disease.

1. Acidic pH
2. Positive electric/magnetic charge
3. Presence of poisons and toxins
4. Nutritional deficiencies

Please Note: Killing off bacteria does not address any of these factors. In fact, killing the bacteria is equivalent to firing an obnoxious, loud spoken maid whose responsibility is to clean your house. When she is gone, you no longer suffer the pain of listening to her ramblings, but your house remains dirty and will gather filth over time.

Result of Antibiotics Use in Lyme Patients

There is a huge controversy surrounding the use of antibiotic as treatment for Lyme Disease. Most medical professionals are taught to prescribe one dose of antibiotics. However, this method consistently fails Chronic Lyme patients who have been sick for an extended period of time. They deal with the toxic effects of killing off the bacteria and perhaps receive temporary symptom relief due to a reduction in inflammation, but the infection always reappears with a vengeance. Desperate, Chronic Lyme patients look for a doctor who will prescribe them multiple rounds of antibiotics over an extended period of time. Alone, this method provides temporary symptom reduction, but always leads to a relapse. Lyme patients who choose the antibiotic treatment path are merely managing symptoms while damaging not only their gut, but also their entire body.

Antibiotics kill the good bacteria in the gut, whose responsibility is to breakdown undigested food. When the good bacteria die, the ability to digest food decreases and intestinal fungus, such as Candida, begins to proliferate. The fungus has the ability to poke holes through the intestinal lining of the gut wall with their tendrils, which leads to a syndrome called leaky gut. At this point, undigested food travels through the damaged gut wall into the blood stream and triggers the immune system to produce phagocytes to break down the food. This puts a strain on the immune system, liver, and kidneys. When the liver and kidneys become overwhelmed, the toxins may circulate and penetrate the blood brain barrier leading to neurological symptoms. In an attempt to clean up the toxic mess, multiple infections simultaneously activate.

Lyme patients may suffer from food, chemical and environmental sensitivities, chronic systematic inflammation, multiple organ dysfunction, decline in cognitive function, anxiety, fear, chronic fatigue, and much more.

Herbal Alternatives for Prescription Antibiotics

To stop the symptom management disease proliferation cycle, it is important to wean off all medications, embrace healing reactions, and focus on nutrition and cleansing methods. There are herbal alternatives that will help decrease the presence of infections by supporting the healing process without killing off the good bacteria in the gut.

Here is a short list of herbal antimicrobials that I have had success using.

• Garlic
• Oregano Oil
• Wormwood
• Clove
• Cinnamon
• Echinacea
• Cat’s Claw
• Cranberry
• Ginger
• Licorice Root
• Olive Leaf
• Thyme
• Cayenne

This is not meant to be a comprehensive list, but rather reassurance that there is an alternative herbal treatment path that is more effective than prescription antibiotics. By replacing antibiotics with herbs, you are replacing poison with nutrition, thereby replacing death with life.

Lyme Patient Testimonials

“A wise man learns from the mistakes of others, a fool by his own.” –Latin Proverb.

If there is still doubt in your mind about which treatment path to choose, then I encourage you to read Lyme patient testimonials. Look for the long-term results. Who had success and claims to have cured the incurable? Who is convinced Lyme disease is a lifelong battle with inevitable relapses? What approach did they take? Learn from their mistakes and successes as you create your own path.

The Power of Intuition: Buying a New Car

Friend calls “Hey, my car is in the shop. I’m going to get a loner car.”

My intuitive senses lit up. In that split second I hear in my head, “It’s time for a new car.” So I share this very clear message with her.

She meets this message with immediate resistance. “No, I don’t think so. I really love my car. I’m just going to get it fixed up. I’m not sure I can even afford a new car at this point. My credit isn’t as high as I’d like it to be. And I have other purchases that are a priority.”

A few days later. “They gave me a quote. Fixing it will cost several grand. I’m looking at my options. I still think I just want to fix my car, and bring it home. I’ve been crying a lot.”

So I gently push back, “Could you be feeling you emotional attachment to your current car? I wonder if you’re holding on for sentimental reasons even if it’s not the best decision for you overall. Take time to process the emotions, sleep on it, and see what you think tomorrow.”

I feel and hear “It’s time for a new car.” on all energetic levels from the crown chakra to the root chakra. So I share with her, “I’m getting a really strong download that it’s time to get a new car. Just want to share. I will respect any choice you make, and encourage you to work through the details.”

Two days later, “Soooo looks like we’re naming a new car.”

…..

Over the course of a week, my friend went from “that’s not possible” to “I did it!!” There were many moving factors at play that were not obvious. This is the beauty of intuition; it calculates everything! Intuition is superior to reasoning, because it calculates the entire equation, including subconscious energy and channeling of external info. Our conscious understanding is extremely limited. Reasoning only factors in a small amount of data compared to intuition.

The universe will conspire to make events to happen that serve our best interest, even when we cannot understand them in the moment. For this individual, one real estate closing was delayed. There was a wave a frustration and working hard to resolve the issues delaying closing. However, the delay meant this money would be available to help pay for the new car that she didn’t yet know she needed. Then another real estate closing moved up a couple of months, also helping to pay for the new car.

Credit felt like a concern because she did not have access to all 3 types of credit reports. In the process, she learned her score that was used for the car was much higher than she thought it would be. No co sign needed. The intuitive ping calculated this info. It knew financing would be possible.

The car meant for her went on the market just days before she bought it. The new car was low mileage, in great condition, and matched all of her specific desires. The ping calculated all of her conscious and subconscious desires for specifically what type of car she wanted. It wasn’t on the market when the ping came in. This was precognitive external information channeled and calculated into the message.

When all of these factors came into my friend’s conscious awareness, she immediately flashed back to my intuitive ping. She then made the purchase with complete confidence that it was the right decision.

It’s so easy to dismiss our intuition when we are missing the data to back up the message. We are called to be open, listen, and trust the other factors will reveal themselves in time. Channeling intuition is stepping into omniscience for a brief moment, and getting the right answer without seeing the mathematical proof. It’s accuracy relies on our ability to hear the message without judgment. Practice listening and prepare yourself to step into the magic of omniscience.

Intuitive Consulting

Why work with an intuitive health consultant?

We all have the capacity to tune into our innate healer. There is a higher intelligence that knows exactly what we need to create states of harmony and vitality. When you work with me, I will tap into that field and give insights. These insights create an opportunity to expand awareness around root cause, deeper meanings, and supportive action items. In nature, there is an intelligent order of operations. I am often shown where the body needs to focus and in what order for optimal results.

Intuitive insights may access all dimensions of the human experience. This includes but is not limited to the physical body, mental body, emotional body, and spiritual essence. I enter altered states of consciousness and use my claire senses to hear, feel, see, and know what information is ready to be revealed.

With my scientific background, I am a strong receiver for medical insights. My ability to read is not dependent on location. I have given clients halfway around the world readings that were later confirmed with medical diagnostics. Intuitive readings are an amazing non-invasive method to strengthen the connection with your inner most healer.

With my strong connection to nature, the elements, and plant medicine, I am a strong receiver for simple, at home lifestyle modalities that create the foundation of health.

Healthy Living Guidance

In my own personal health journey, I became acutely aware of the negative impact of environmental pollution and bio accumulation of harmful, synthetic chemicals. I have made conscious choices to minimize exposure to synthetic chemicals, fragrances, respiratory irritants, endocrine disrupters, and so on. The choices we make every day add up. They can either be a constant drain on energy and stress on elimination organs and pathways. And while it’s not possible to completely avoid harmful substances, we can reduce exposure in controlled environments and bring in tools for cleansing and protection. Think about the products we use every single day (hand soap, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, makeup, laundry soap, dish soap, surface cleaners, air purifiers, etc.) The process of ditching and switching can be overwhelming. I can help find the better alternative and gradually ditch and switch on a timeline that works for you and your budget.

Brand Partner Mentorship

Are you looking for purpose and personal growth with a paycheck? Partnering with Young Living is an incredible opportunity to support your own wellness goals, create a stronger and healthier community, be a steward of the earth, and create an extra stream of income. By partnering with me, you will not only have direct access to me, but also be connected to amazing trainings, resources, and mentorship from long term, successful leaders. The incredible transformations I witness are an integral part of WHY I will continue to share with everyone who is open and receptive.

Liver Flush Coaching

When I was younger, I experienced hundreds of partial complex seizures daily. I had hired several medical doctors and one amazing holistic doctor without relief of my biggest complaint, seizure activity. My health dramatically increased when I began liver flushing. I became aware of how digestive issues, joint issues, nutritional deficiencies, and lymphatic stagnation can be rooted in liver dysfunction. Over a several year process, I completed the liver flush series, which means I cleared out all debris and symptoms. I reversed food sensitivities, digestive complaints, fertility, immune suppression, joint pain, and seizure activity. I broke the cycle of chronic illness, and reversed many states of being that the medical community said I would live with forever.

I love teaching this empowering, cleansing tool. The process can feel a bit intimidating at first. I promise to guide you through the whole process, help navigate any challenges, and maximize discernment with education. After a few flushes, many of my clients feel confident in how and when to implement this deep cleansing protocol.

Most healthcare professionals are ignorant to this process. It’s very important to work with someone who deeply understands the process and has experienced it themself. I offer this to those who are ready to take their health into their own hands. I teach the protocol designed by Andreas Moritz.

Shamanic Journey- Soul Retrieval

During a shamanic Journey, I will meditate on your behalf and enter the non-ordinary reality. I will call upon helping spirits, connecting you to ancestors, power animals, and other compassionate spirit helpers. I will work with these spirits to gain insights and transform energy. With soul retrieval, I will identify when and why part of the soul left, cleanse energy, and call it back. You will feel a remembrance of wholeness, increased presence, and insights from the soul aspect. You will receive a synopsis of what transpires on the journey. This is a helpful modality for those who have experienced trauma and have not fully recovered. It will facilitate healing, wholeness, spiritual connection, and increased presence.

Illumination

This is a distance healing modality that calls upon universal life force and the spirit of light. The main goal is to use the light to alchemize denser, darker energies while providing insights on necessary shadow work. This is a very helpful modality in times when one feels heavy and unable to shift into lighter states on their own. You will feel lighter, energy moving faster, and will receive a new perspective.

The first time I received a distance illumination, I was blown away by how quickly I shifted from despair to states of love and peace. I received clarity on how to navigate a difficult situation, and slept deeply like a baby before complete resolution.

I used this modality to support a man in the hospital unable to see visitors. His blood oxygen level increased 3% after the illumination. I was also shown important aspects of the next two weeks of his life. I was shown his time on earth was short, and the goal of the illumination was to connect with loved ones and find peace before his transition.

Salve

Herbal medicine in the form of topical nourishment. I offer three types of salves, the Soothing Salve, Burst of Sunshine, and Moon vision.

The soothing Salve is designed to calm, hydrate, and nourish a wide range of skin irritations. The recipe was inspired by my daughter who needed support with chronic eczema.

The Burst of Sunshine is sunshine consciousness in a bottle. It creates an uplifting mood, protects against seasonal sadness, and alchemizes despair associated with loss of loved ones.

The Moon Vision Salve is every menstruating woman’s best friend. It helps ground emotions and eases tension that arises during her moon cycle. This herbal support enhances divine feminine flow and clarity with regards to her unique vision. It can be used topically on the abdomen and feet during the luteal and menstrual phases of her moon cycle.

Adaptive Crystal Roller

This is an individualized essential oil blend designed to optimize emotional, energetic, and functional energy along with overall adaptability. You will complete a Zyto Insights scan that gives an energetic snapshot of state of being, top rated oils to increase energy, and receive the individualized blend in a beautiful crystal roller. You can roll this on your wrists, chest, spine, and/or feet.

Wellness Events

Education is an important step in health empowerment. I love teaching a variety of wellness topics, including but not limited to connecting with intuition, meditation, plant based nutrition, herbalism, cleanses, hormonal wellness, menstrual cycle, stress management, and spiritual awakening. Reach out to setup an event designed for your needs and target audience.

Energetics of Mother’s Milk Tea

After a night of sleep with a teething baby demanding to be fed every 1-2 hours, I’ve been feeling slightly sad, distant, and depleted. I know many other mother’s may be feeling similarly overwhelmed spending so much time with their children without external support and increased demands. I thought it would be fun to show to show a case study that dives into the energetic transformation of drinking an herbal tea for physical, emotional, and spiritual support.

First of all, what do I mean by energetic transformation, and why is this important? Every substance has a unique impact on an individual depending on the pre-existing state of their aura. I look at what organs are physically supported in order of impact, what emotions and mantras are released, what emotions and mantras are imprinted, and what chakras are strengthened. When we can better understand this potential impact, then we can make better choices when looking for support with specific issues. I love diving into the individual scenarios because it helps us understand why the same physical support might help one person but not another.

IMG_1809

So for me today on 5/5/2020 at 6:00pm this is the energetic transformation of Mother’s Milk tea.

Physical support: liver (energy stays here for a long time), spleen, pancreas, uterus, ovaries, and throat.

Spiritual support: strengthens my third eye, crown chakra, and root chakra

Emotions released: anger, fear, sadness.

Mantra’s released: “I hate you”, “Get away from me”, “Leave me alone”, and “I don’t want to be here.”

Emotions imprinted: present and capable.

Mantra imprinted: I love my baby.

The overall increase in chi energy is very strong. This has been verified with a muscle test. On a scale of 0-100 with 0 being all harm no benefit and 100 being all benefit no harm, it registers at 98. This means my aura will greatly benefit from drinking this tea today and it will increase my overall vitality.

Wow. What a transformation.

On the package, the Herbal Power is listed as supports breast milk production for nursing mothers. Did you notice that even as a breastfeeding mother, my breasts did not register under physical support? This tells me that these herbs support the specific challenges of a motherhood and those challenges may or may not include a need for increased breast milk production.

Physically, the energy stays in the liver the longest. We store our negative emotions in our liver, so this means my liver must need support in processing negative emotions. The spleen represents our ability to digest life and circumstances whereas the pancreas represents our ability to allow sweetness into our life. The uterus represents our relationship with ourselves while the ovaries represent our relationship with others. The throat chakra represents our ability to listen and speak our truth.

Perhaps other moms can relate emotionally. In this instance, hate refers to a behavior that is disliked. In my case, the behavior I disliked was crying in the middle of the night and constant demands to breastfed when my body needed sleep. I love the emotional shift. Who doesn’t want to be fully present and feel capable? And the end result is often our overarching goal, to be love and receive love. Our energy must be connected and flowing without blockages to be able to embody unconditional love for our children. Self care for mothers is not selfish, but rather the foundation for a healthy relationship. Clearly, this herbal blend was the perfect match for me given the circumstance and pre-existing condition.

Why Quality Matters when Investing in Essential Oils

Over the past few months, I’ve had several conversations with people about how they love essential oils and love getting them at a bargain price. One woman said she could buy 10 mL of Frankincense for less than $10. She was so proud to show it to me and so I asked if I could use energy medicine to test how she responds to that particular oil. To her dismay, she learned that the cheap oil was draining her overall energy and weakening her crown chakra. The oil was counter productive as her goal was to use the oil to strengthen her crown chakra. She was better off energetically with no oil as opposed to using a cheap oil. We could have sent the oil to get tested at a laboratory to find out what exactly was in that bottle, but it was clearly not pure Frankincense.

It’s amazing that essential oils are getting much more traction these days. We are seeing a return to ancient medicine and health approaches that come directly from nature, and not a laboratory. With this boom in the essential oil market we are also seeing a lot of false advertising and sub-par products. There are no regulations on essential oil marketing, so it can say pure without any backing to that claim.

IMG_3322

Young Living has their own code of standards (www.seedtoseal.com). Their standards are stricter than USDA organic. I knew Young Living oils were worth the investment the moment I touched them. They have the strongest chi of any of the oils that I’ve tested. I would like to share with you what sets the quality apart of Young Living apart from other brands and what risks are involved with using sub-par oils.

IMG_4077

There are 5 grades of essential oils sold are the market today. Therapeutic grade essential oils are the only ones that contain medicinal qualities. The lowest quality is “Synthetic Biology” oils. These oils are created in a laboratory from synthetic DNA and are bio-engineered with fungus and enzymes. They can be labeled as natural as they are derived from yeasts and are made quickly and cheaply. These oils are fake copycats that give the illusion of fragrance without any therapeutic benefit. In addition, the incomplete formulas often cause harm opposite of the intended benefit. For example, fragrance grade Lavender contains high levels of lavandin, a hybrid of lavender. It is often heated to evaporate camphor, mixed with synthetic linalyl acetate to improve the fragrance, and then sold as lavender oil. Higher levels of the constituent camphor can lead to burning of the skin, so if one uses Lavender to support the skin in healing after a burn, then this oil will worsen the burning sensation.

When one uses adulterated oils topically, they may experience rashes, burns, and other skin irritations. Common synthetic additives used in creating those oils are propylene glycol, DEP, and DOP. These chemicals have no smell and are used as volume fillers. They put the user at risk for allergic reactions in addition to providing no therapeutic benefit.

Adulteration of oils is such a concern that Young Living tests all oil batches with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry and then retested with gas chromatography and flame ionization detector. These tests help identify chirality of the compounds, which will detect synthetic oils. Some essential oil companies will dilute the essential oil with a fatty lipid oil to increase supply and reduce cost.

Even natural or organic certified oils can be problematic depending on the growing conditions and time of harvest. The type of genus, species, and chemotype is important for growing plants that contain the highest constituents that provide the therapeutic benefits. In addition, the use of chemical pesticides contaminates the final product.

According to Jared Turner, the president of Young Living, it costs around $12,000 per acre to weed lavender fields by hand. Other companies that used cheap herbicides may spend $60 per acre to kill the weeds. This is why Young Living oils cost more, but the investment includes not only a higher quality product with therapeutic benefits, it also invests in the quality of the earth.

Pesticides are known for having delirious effects on health, in the short and long term. Tyrone Hayes has scientifically documented how a common herbicide, Atrazine, has been shown to change gender and sexuality in frogs. This herbicide was the most common water contaminant in 2001 and has had a large impact on reducing fertility and disrupting endocrine balance in males and females. Glyphosate, another herbicide, has been shown to increase permeability of the intestinal tract and has caused the most common vitamin and mineral deficiencies in our food supply. All pesticides and herbicides have been shown to have adverse health effects on the soil, plants, and animals who consume those plants.

Here are a few of the seed to seal requirements for producing quality oils. This is an excerpt from the Essential Oils desktop reference by Life Science Publishing.

IMG_4078

Producing pure essential oils is expensive. It can take thousands of pounds of raw plant material to create one pound of essential oil. For example, it takes 5,000 pounds of rose petals to produce just one pint of Rose oil, which is the essential oil with the highest vibrational frequency. If we want the world to be a better place, then we need to invest in better quality products that are sustainable, regenerative, and allow us to be stewards of the earth. I’m grateful that Young Living does not sacrifice quality for a number of reasons that other companies may do so.

Moving Beyond Disease Management and into Vitality

For the last few years, I have focused on finding and implementing strategies to fully heal chronic illness for myself and others. All of my tools can be done at home by anyone. I started with what I call “foundation tools”. They include clean water, fresh air, sunshine, exercise, rest, and diet. I’ve seen a great reduction in disease symptoms and a return of quality of life.

When I first started my journey, I had debilitating food and environmental allergies and sensitivities. I had to wear a mask to walk to class during Spring. If clothes were washed in a washer with mildew or mold, I couldn’t wear them without having convulsions. If I ate the wrong item, I could throw up or have diarrhea for a week. I quickly learned for survival sake that I needed to eliminate as many harmful substances as I could to switch off from flight or fight and enter rest and digest mode. Just walking through the cleaning aisle of a store would trigger asthma attacks and migraines.

I went through a period of time when my liver was so congested, that I would react to anything slightly toxic. This was a blessing and a curse. It was a blessing, because I was made acutely aware of anything harmful. My body could sense mold long before a mold test. I picked up on water leak and mold issue in an apartment months before they found the source. It was a curse because I could no longer live the standard American lifestyle. If I ate the same as my peers, then I would be violently ill. If I had one drink of alcohol, then I would be immune suppressed for a full week. If I breathed in cigarette smoke or scented candles, then my lungs would close until I got to fresh air. This was highly restrictive and limited many joys that others my age were experiencing.

One of the areas that I was highly restricted to was aromatic compounds. Everything I bought had to be unscented. If it listed fragrance, then it was out of the question. If the cleaning product contained ammonia, then I couldn’t go near it. My life became very simple. The less ingredients, the better. I began looking for personal care and cleaning products with natural ingredients. Many of the products I was drawn to contained essential oils.

A few months ago, my friend invited me to learn about her wellness business. I sat in a room full of women and we passed around little bottles of essential oils. She discussed the care in which the company took to ensure the highest quality pure, therapeutic grade essential oils from seed to seal. The amount of life energy contained in each bottle was incredible. I knew from just holding the little bottles that they were gems and worth an investment.

791A61D2-F828-4F87-B1C9-F5A2FC1AE0A8

I bought the premium starter kit and began energy experiments. I started diffusing them, applying them topically, and ingesting a few of them. I realized that this was exactly what my wellness journey was missing. The aromatic compounds in these essential oils are life giving. They help to focus energy according to your wellness goals. They open up sinuses instead of closing them. They help to ground energy in to the earth. They help to focus spiritual energy during meditation. They help to let go of stored emotions that are creating chaos. They help to keep a greater purpose in mind and not sweat the small details. They help skin to glow. The list goes on and on. They smell true to nature and carry a sense of home.

My energy experiments have confirmed the quality of design in their blends. Anywhere that an individual registers with excess oxidative stress is the first place that the blend, Stress Away, targets. Valor supports the kidneys and bladder to let go of fear and strengthens the heart chakra thereby increasing courage. The immune support blend, Thieves, strengthens the thymus. The blends are designed well enough that if you have a specific symptom or goal, then you can trust the oils blends as labeled.

IMG_1381

The high-quality oils are just the beginning. This company has products to support all wellness needs, including cleaning, skincare, makeup, supplements, kids, and pets. They are bringing wellness into the lives of millions by reducing stress caused by ingesting everyday toxins and giving life to dreams, goals, and inspiration. The educational literature included in the lifestyle resonates with the approaches I have found to be most effective including but not limited to fasting, colon hydrotherapy, liver cleanses, dietary approaches, and processing stored emotions. I have been searching for my tribe of like-minded individuals and finally feel at home with this wellness community.

IMG_1048

I’m excited to take my wellness journey to the next step by partnering with Young Living. Gary Young had an incredible vision of a better tomorrow. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help make the vision a reality.
